Egyptian Glass Footed Compote Bowl — Date & Nut Serving Bowl (Model 140)

An open bowl on a flower-shaped foot. The fluted bowl sits on a clear pedestal that spreads into hand-pinched petals at the table — the piece dates, apricots and roasted nuts are poured into the moment the maghrib call ends.

Mouth-blown in our Cairo workshop in two parts and joined hot, so the foot is fused to the bowl rather than glued. The petal edges are pinched by hand, which is why no two feet sit quite the same.
