Egyptian Glass Mabkhara — Sahara · Straight Cup, Engraved Gold Band & Brass Tray, 20 cm (Model 98)

The slimmer silhouette — a straight cup, one engraved gold band, and nothing else to distract from the smoke.

Sahara is the quieter sister of Wahaj: the same engraved gold band and brass charcoal tray on a narrower, straight-sided cup that reads modern on a console or a hotel desk. Blown in black it is dramatic; in rose, honey or blue it is soft and warm.

Retailers use it as the second mabkhara on the shelf — the one for the customer who wants something less ornate — and interior designers order it in one colour across a project. Order mixed colours for a shelf, or a single colour for a matched display.

Each piece is mouth-blown, banded and gilded by hand in our Cairo workshop; small differences in curve and gold are the signature of the craft.
