Description
Bakhoor and oil, painted by needle — the Henna pair.
The Henna lidded mabkhara (Model 172) and the Henna oil burner (Model 173) on matching twisted stems, both decorated with white needle-painted scrollwork that looks like henna patterns — the technique our workshop calls rasm ibra (رسم إبرة) — and 24K gold bands, in one colour.
One burns bakhoor, the other warms oud oil — the two ways the Gulf scents a room, in one gift.
Each piece is mouth-blown and finished by hand in our Cairo workshop; small variations in shape, colour and decoration are the signature of the craft.
